About

Hi, I'm Olga! I love programming, research, and creating something that is beautiful and can impact others.
Since 2016 I am a PhD student in the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona where I am jointly being advised by Professor Emilia Gomez (Music Technology Group) and Professor Gloria Haro (Image Processing Group). I have been fortunate to be supported by Maria de Maeztu Units of Excellence Program (MDM-2015-0502).

My research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning (particularly deep learning), audio signal processing and computer vision. Currently, I am working on audio-visual object recognition applying to music information retrieval.

Before this, I received my Specialist Degree in Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, where I defended my thesis on automatic music mood classification in 2013.

Before joining Pompeu Fabra University, I worked for two years as a Software Engineer on an infrastructure project for music processing and data analysis for real-time advertisement. Among other things, I developed an automatic reporting system and various behaviour prediction models.

I am a very thorough person and organised and conclusive in thought.

Feel free to take a deeper look at what I've accomplished over the years and view my CV here.
